If you’ve got a degree in marketing, there are lots of opportunities for you. It’s just a matter of choosing the right one and getting hired. Here are the top job options with a marketing degree you can choose from.

Group product manager

Group Product Managers are responsible for leading a product development team and managing a product portfolio. They work to ensure that the products and services in the portfolio are profitable and meet the customer’s needs.

A Group Product Manager may specialize in consumer goods, hardware, software, industrial equipment, or other industries. The role requires strong leadership and communication skills. It also requires a knowledge of business, technology, and the latest trends in consumer behavior.

Typically, group product managers have a bachelor’s degree in a field related to product management. Some employers prefer candidates with an MBA.

Group product managers typically have several years of experience. Their duties include creating a vision for the product, developing a roadmap, and ensuring that the team’s work meets the goals of the company.

They will often report to a senior product manager. Senior product managers have similar responsibilities to group product managers but also manage a more extensive product portfolio.

A Group Product Manager’s salary can range from $60,000 to $343,000. In Seattle, for instance, the wage for group product managers is 13% higher than in other cities.

Group product managers can advance to higher-level positions within the same company. Larger companies have more responsibilities and will usually offer a better salary.

Marketing research manager

Marketing research managers are often called upon to make critical business decisions. They’re also responsible for organizing and analyzing large amounts of data to help companies improve their marketing strategies. This requires a certain level of analytical expertise and leadership skills. Although market research is an interesting and exciting field, it’s important to note that it has drawbacks.

The marketing research industry is on the rise, and the good news is that there are plenty of opportunities for a savvy marketer. However, there’s a lot of competition for the best-of-the-best positions. To compete with the best, a Market Research Manager needs to prove their credentials via professional certifications and years of experience in the industry. Most employers want to see at least a bachelor’s degree in marketing or a business-related field and a solid work history.

In addition to their traditional marketing duties, most Market Research Managers are tasked with various specialized tasks. For example, they may need to write research proposals, design and execute customer opinion studies, prepare and present statistically-based data, and monitor and analyze advertising trends. It’s a fascinating and fast-paced job that offers many career advancement opportunities.

A Marketing Research Manager may not be for everyone, but if you’re looking for a long-term, high-paying job with an outstanding work-life balance, this is a career you may want to consider.

Content strategist

A content strategist plans to create and distribute relevant, compelling content. While content is essential, a good strategist will have the organizational and design skills to make the process run smoothly.

A content strategist can find work in marketing agencies, as a freelancer, or as a full-time employee in a company’s marketing department. The position requires a degree in the field. It’s possible to go for a bachelor’s degree in marketing and work your way up to the title of content strategist. However, to get there, you’ll likely have to spend a few years honing your skills in the industry.

As a content strategist, you’ll juggle several projects at once. You’ll have to decide which platforms to use, develop a strategic plan, and identify the most appropriate keywords to get your message out to the right people.

You’ll also need to develop excellent project management and communication skills. These are important if you’re overseeing a team of content creators. Some companies even require you to have a university-level degree in digital marketing.

In addition, you’ll need to know how to analyze and evaluate data properly. This includes looking at SEO best practices, social media analytics, and other factors.
